Un-Plugged

At about 5pm today, my mucus plug came out.

"Mucus plug" = a gelatin-like seal for the cervix which protects the amniotic sac from infection.

This is an awesome sign; it means that the cervix is thining out and dilating in preparation for delivery. For some, labour begins within a few hours, others a couple of days.

I don't know if it was the sweep that did it or the supported squats that I've been doing that helped.

I hope I get awaken by labour contractions tonight/tom morning.
